The three main elements of a remote control system are smart meters, meter data collectors, and remote management software on the computer.
Smart meter
Smart meters are the foundation for remote management and the terminal devices of management systems.
Smart meters first collect real-time data on users' current and voltage through A/D converters or metering chips. After analysis, processing, and calculation by a microprocessor, the electricity and other content are output through communication, display, and other means. The electric meter has RS-485 communication and infrared communication interfaces for data exchange with external devices.
Remote collector
The RS-485 communication interface of the smart meter is connected to the meter collector, which can simultaneously collect data from multiple smart meters, run and store it, and send the data to the backend server through GPRS communication, mainly to complete the data transmission to the upper level.
Remote management system for backend servers.
The remote management system performs statistical processing and analysis on the sent electricity meter data, and designs personalized functions according to different user needs. It mainly realizes remote control, remote meter reading, remote recharge, report printing and other operations of the electricity meter, and monitors, manages, stores and records the operation status of the entire system.
