1、 Account opening and pre-set electricity fees
During the installation of smart meters, the power supply department usually sets a certain amount of electricity fee (such as 20 yuan or 30 yuan) for users to ensure that they can use electricity in a timely manner after installation. Users need to go to the local power supply department or designated payment point within the specified time (such as after obtaining the power purchase card) to handle account opening procedures, obtain the user ID and initial password of the electricity meter, and complete the first power purchase. When purchasing electricity for the first time, the pre-set electricity fee will be automatically deducted. For example, if the first purchase of electricity is 100 yuan, after deducting the pre-set electricity fee of 20 yuan, the actual recharge amount is 80 yuan.

2、 Electricity purchase and card recharge
Electricity purchase method: Users can deposit electricity bills in advance through various methods such as purchasing a power card, online payment, and mobile app.
Card recharge:
Insert the power card chip to the left (or in the direction indicated by the meter) into the card slot on the upper right side of the meter.
After insertion, the backlight of the electric meter LCD screen lights up and displays "card reading".
After waiting for successful recharge, the LCD screen displays "card read successful". The entire card insertion process should be maintained for at least 15 seconds, and the card should not be unplugged midway to prevent data loss.
After successful recharge, the LCD screen will synchronously display the current electricity balance, and the user will complete the purchase of electricity after confirming that it is correct.
3、 Electricity inquiry and display
Real time display: The smart meter is equipped with an LCD display screen, which can display real-time information such as current remaining power, cumulative power consumption, voltage, current, etc.
Key query: By using the query key on the electricity meter (such as the tracking key), users can cycle through the displayed content and view detailed electricity information.
4、 Alarm and trip mechanism
Alarm function: When the remaining electricity bill is less than a certain amount (such as 10 yuan), the electricity meter will automatically alarm, and the LCD screen will display "Purchase Electricity". At the same time, the alarm light will light up to remind the user to purchase electricity in a timely manner.
Trip mechanism:
Alarm tripping: When the remaining electricity bill is lower than the alarm amount but greater than 0 yuan, the meter may automatically trip and the trip light will flash. At this point, the user can insert the power purchase card into the meter again, and the system will automatically close the emergency switch until the balance is zero.
Arrears and Trips: When the remaining electricity bill is 0 yuan, the meter will automatically cut off power, and the LCD screen will display "Pull the switch to purchase electricity". The trip indicator light will remain on. Users need to immediately go to the business hall to purchase electricity. After recharging, the electricity meter will automatically restore power supply.
5、 Exception handling and error codes
In the process of inserting cards to purchase electricity, if there is a situation such as unsuccessful card reading, the LCD screen of the electric meter will display the corresponding error code. Here are some common error codes and their meanings:

ERR-31: The actual voltage of the user is too low (below 174V), and due to the need to protect data, it cannot be charged temporarily. It can avoid charging during peak load periods.
ERR-32: The power purchase card is damaged. Please go to the business hall to explain the situation and apply for a replacement card.
ERR-35: Early removal of the card during card insertion and charging. Insert the card again and hold for at least 15 seconds.
ERR-36: Exceeding the maximum electricity bill limit in the meter (not exceeding 10000 yuan). Please go to the business hall to explain the situation and have professional personnel handle it.
If you encounter error codes or other abnormal situations that cannot be resolved, please call the power service hotline (such as 95598) or go to the local power supply business hall to inform professional personnel for handling.

6、 Precautions for use
Safe use of electricity: After the power supply of the smart meter is interrupted, the circuit components of the energy meter are still working with electricity. The card insertion operation should be carried out by adults to prevent electric shock.
Properly store the power purchase card: Do not bend, contaminate or soak the power purchase card, avoid being in high temperature and high humidity environments, and stay away from magnetic fields. After the power purchase card is demagnetized or lost, it should be promptly reported to the power supply department to apply for a replacement card.

Regularly check the electricity meter: Regularly check the operation status of the electricity meter, such as whether the electricity display is normal and whether there are any abnormal alarms. If any problems are found, they should be dealt with in a timely manner to ensure the normal operation of the electricity meter.
